50% off tickets to see us at the BFX Family Weekend – animation, games and film geeks roll up!

We’re hopping with glee, next weekend is the globally respected BFX Show, organised by Bournemouth University to profile and spark conversations across the latest and greatest innovations in the film, games and animation world. Hoping to inspire more people to join this £81.4billion creative industry – and that’s in the UK alone.

Why are we so excited about it? Well because this year we’re part of the BFX Family Weekend which follows on from the BFX show, over the 7th & 8th October.

We’re partnering with award winning blog Tech Age Kids who are taking over the BIC with a whole host of interactive workshops for your kids to take part in. So if you’ve read their blogs on the BBC Micro Bit, Pixel Art Blocks or Makey Makey’s to name a few, or last year’s round-up, then come along and experience getting techy for yourself! There’s going to be the chance for your children to be part of a Star Wars Drone Battle and view the Disney Animation Concept Art flown in especially from America. They can even sign up for an ‘acting in animation’ class on the Sunday.

Then, after you’ve had a go at making your own retro video game and played on the green screen make sure you come along to see us at DiaryZapp where you can import your favourite pictures from the day into your own digital diary. We’ll be there showing you and your kids how easy it is to start capturing your adventures on DiaryZapp.

You’ll be able to create your own Zappicon – a unique buddy that guides all DiaryZapper’s through the app helping them to unlock more stickers – and have a selfie with it, as well as play on the app and record the best moments of your day. Bring your own tablets along to be able to play for longer and enter our comp to win prizes from our affiliate PhotoBox

Zappicon colouring table will also be set up to see who can come up with the most creative ideas with colour.

Noah Dance will be at the show on Sunday along with parents Charlie, mum, and Jon, dad, and sister Ella who is chief tester and if you’re really lucky he might share the secret of how to convince your parents to really listen to your ideas. He has a few ways of doing this!
